Kidcycle Spring/Summer Consignment Sale
March 6-8 and March 14, 2015
The Kidcycle Gallery of Shops is located inside the mall in Children’s Alleyway near Stadium 10 Theaters. Kidcycle invites area families to consign their gently used children’s apparel, shoes, maternity wear, baby equipment, toys and books, from new born to teenage, to sell at Kidcycle’s public sales events.
Consigners should register items online at www.kidcyclenc.com with item drop-off scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 27 – 28, 2015.

Welcome the American Heart Association to the March Mall Walkers meeting. The AHA will present information on the National Walking Day event for Durham that will take place at Northgate Mall.
Northgate Mall is pleased to present guest speakers Linda King, Director of Community and Multicultural Health of the American Health Association (AHA) and Chastity Newkirk, Public Health Education Specialist with Durham County Public Health, discussing heart health and the upcoming National Walking Day.
Ms. King will present the AHA’s Sodium Pledge campaign and National Walking Day scheduled for Wednesday, April 1; Ms. Newkirk will discuss the connection how an active lifestyle improves heart health and prevents chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Heart & Sole members meet regularly to walk in the mall. The mall opens early each morning (8:30am) for a safe, temperature controlled environment to exercise in.

Participants will learn techniques for designing and constructing lids for wheel thrown forms and using some altering methods with slab and coil. Throughout the workshop demonstrations will include jars, bottomless thrown forms, globes, and possibly boxes. We will focus on good measuring techniques, trimming, and knobs.
